The vintage "gunslinger" slot machines at the
front entrance of the New Frontier Hotel and Gambling Hall only hint at the hotel's rich legacy. After all, the
New Frontier was instrumental in launching a legend: Elvis Presley played his first show there on April 23, 1956.
There's been a lot of water under the bridge since then and it is gratifying to see that the New Frontier values
its history.
And that's not the only thing of value here. The hotel's 986 rooms are spacious
and modestly appointed, many of them in a tower with a stunning indoor atrium. A massive, 100,000 square-foot casino
floor jumps around the clock. Michelle's Village Cafe is among the Strip's more popular buffets, serving a celebrated
deli menu at lunchtime and seafood specialties on select nights.
History will repeat itself at the New Frontier for years to come. Even the gunslingers
know it.
